We are dog friendly, welcoming well behaved dogs both inside and outside, and are OpenTable's Diner's Choice 2024, Trip Advisor's Traveller's Choice 2022, winners of Best Service in Carlisle 2022 from Restaurant Guru and we've also recently received a Booking.com Traveller Review Award 2026.
In late 2025 our amazing Sunday lunch was voted as one of the Top 5 in Cumbria according to Trip Advisor, plus we also are the only pub locally that offers Steak on a Stone. This is your chance to cook your very own steak to your liking on a hot volcanic stone at your table. Pure theatre and great fun!
